We have just had a significant update to our electronic health record software. Things seem to be running smoothly at this time. One significant upgrade was the patient portal. It has a lot more functionality to it. We are encouraging all our families to sign up and take advantage of this feature of our system.
1. For new users: we ask that you sign an initial agreement and then we will send you an email link. Follow the link and the instructions to log into the portal. It is pretty straightforward.
2. If you have used the portal in the past, but not recently, please try and log in. You will be directed to a new portal website. Again, follow the instructions and you should be able to access the portal.
3. If you signed up in the past but never used the portal, ask for a new email link to be sent to you. Follow the instructions to log into the portal.
4. Some families have had trouble getting siblings logged in. Please try these tips:
a. Use Chrome as the browser if possible.
b. Put in the information: last name, date of birth (NOTE: use the calendar to enter the date of birth, don’t simply type it in), sex of child, and skip putting in the zip code. This process seems to works for families that have had any trouble.
c. Put in a user name and password as directed and log in.
Please write down the information for your records. Each child requires a unique user name. The password may be the same for each child.
NEW NURSE PRACTITIONER
Please welcome Sarah Gay, PNP, our new nurse practitioner. Sarah is a graduate of The University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ and Mass. General Hospital Institute of Health Professions, Boston, MA. She is ANCC board certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner in primary care. Previous clinical experience includes staff nurse at Shriner’s Burn Hospital for Children, Boston, MA; pediatric neurosurgery nurse practitioner at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, Providence, RI; and most recently, pediatric cardiology nurse practitioner at Boston Children’s Hospital.
She will be working primarily out of our North Attleboro office, but will be in our Lincoln office at times as well.
We hope to have another flu shot clinic. In the meantime, you can schedule an appointment for you child to get the flu vaccine in our Lincoln or North Attleboro offices.
Blue Cross Blue Shield is transitioning patients from Flovent to QVAR as an inhaled steroid. When refilling your child’s inhaler, it may be refilled as QVAR. Please understand that this is an insurance issue.
Thanks for your patience and understanding,
